Method

  1. In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil. Add the garlic and chilli flakes. Cook until just pale golden, then add the tomatoes. Cook 3 mins more on a high heat until the tomatoes start to break down a little. Add the lemon juice and cook for 1-2 mins. Remove from the heat and stir in the crab to warm through – not too much or it will break up.

  2. Boil the pasta in a large pan of salted water following pack instructions then drain. Mix the pasta in the warm pot with the sauce, lemon zest and capers, and toss the basil through.

I love this recipe. Second and third time round I used fresh white crab meat and added some prawns. Also I used this thinner spaghetti which made it more about the sauce, so even lighter and tastier.

Lovely fresh flavours, I added a large pinch of chilli as like things with some heat. Went down fantastically with the other half and was so easy to make after a day at work and was very light but filling. Would definitely recommend

A tasty, simple, fresh recipe with an authentic Italian feel to it. Especially good with a sprinkling of parmesan cheese.

Lovely, making again tonight as it was so popular!......I add some chilli and garlic marinated prawns as well and halve the lemon and zest. Well worth giving it a try.

Left out the lemon zest as suggested by other reviewers, and this was absolutely delicious. It will definitely be a regular meal in our house now.

Loved this recipe, nice flavours and really light. Really easy to make but will definitely add more tomatoes next time. Agree that only 1 tin of crab meat is enough for two and left out the lemon zest as per recommendations.

Quick, healthy and very tasty. Already a regular on our dinner table. Agree that one tin of crab meat is enough for two people and less lemon is better.

We didn't like this at all, the different flavours didn't combine for us.

This was delicious, quick and very easy to make. Didn't add the capers as I don't like them and added a bit extra chilli because I like things hot, also used shredded tinned crab instead of chunks. The tomatoes were a lovely sweet touch and a healthy bonus, will definitely make again.
