Ingredients

  • 225g dark chocolate
  • 225g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 75g self raising flour
  • 1 shot espresso (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • pinch salt
  • 150g chopped walnuts
  • 225g caster sugar

Method

  • STEP 1
    melt chocolate and butter in a bain marie (bowl resting in a pan of boiling water. cool slightly
  • STEP 2
    beat eggs and sugar
  • STEP 3
    add choc mix
  • STEP 4
    spoon in remaining ingrediants
  • STEP 5
    can add chocolate buttons on top.
  • STEP 6
    put into a rectangle cake tin lined in greaseproof paper on 180 degrees for 25 mins. mixture will still be soft after 25 mins but will set as it cools. cut into pieces and enjoy
