Baked cod with orzo & spicy sausage in a large casserole dish

One-pot autumn meal plan

7 items

Keep dinner easy this autumn with seven one-pot recipes for four – one for every day of the week, with far less washing up.

With the holidays on the horizon and the end of the year fast approaching, everyone’s plate is getting a little fuller. Dinner shouldn’t add to the pile. This month’s one-pot meal plan is built to keep things easy for the whole family: seven recipes for four, one for every day of the week, each made in a single pot or pan, so there’s far less washing up at the end of a long day.

These recipes have been carefully selected by our editors to keep the week balanced and simple. Expect a good mix of proteins, from fish, beef and pork to lentils and beans, and a variety of meal types to keep the week interesting. Whether you’re cooking in a casserole dish, frying pan or saucepan, the effort stays low while the return stays high. We’re not compromising on taste for convenience: autumn produce like sweet pumpkin, tender leeks, crisp apples and hearty kale brings the season to the table.

The week brings a baked cod and orzo, a sweet-and-savoury chilli beef, a vegan coconut dhal, a smoky veggie lentil lasagne, a punchy pork fillet, a creamy pumpkin meatball pasta, and a smoky chicken, bean and kale stew. The lentil lasagne is written to serve two, so double the quantities before you shop to feed the whole table.

Our recipes are designed to be adaptable. Where possible, we’ll flag simple swaps and tips to help you get even more from your weekly shop.

To keep things simple, use the in-app shopping list to add ingredients from each recipe, then check the My Good Food tab for one clear, organised list before you shop.
