Being short of time doesn’t mean you and your family have to compromise on a balanced, healthy diet – these delicious recipes make perfect family dinners and are ready in just 30 minutes.

From a nutritional perspective each of our recipes contributes one or more towards your five-a-day and we’ve included complex carbs such as brown rice, pasta and noodles to boost fibre levels, and to keep everyone in the family fuller for longer.

UK guidelines suggest we eat two portions of fish per week, with one being a fatty variety such as salmon. Fatty fish are a valuable source of heart-healthy essential fats (omega-3) and a useful source of vitamin D. In the UK its estimated that one in five of us have low levels of this vitamin and with few food sources it makes our pan-fried salmon with braised little gem lettuce a valuable inclusion to the weekly plan.

Stir-fries are the classic fast food at home, but packet sauces tend to be high in salt, sugar and may contain additives – our fragrant pork & lemongrass noodles prove that with a few savvy, storecupboard ingredients you can have a stir fry that’s low in salt and sugar, and on the table in just 20 minutes.

Many of us enjoy more than just meat-free Mondays and our plan recognises this with two delicious recipes including orecchiette with butter beans, parsley, chilli & lemon and spring green salad with parsley, walnuts & blue cheese.
