Gingerbread Home Competition 2021

Published: September 16, 2021 at 7:57 am

Calling all young readers! We’re inviting you to enter our competition to draw a gingerbread home for BBC Good Food.

We're asking all aspiring young bakers to get creative and design a festive gingerbread home. Whether this is an ordinary house, fairy grotto or grand fortress, we'd love to see your most inventive ideas!

The only requirements are that the design be original and made entirely of gingerbread pieces. Your drawing should be a gingerbread home that could be stuck together with icing and topped with edible decorations.

The winning young designer will receive a brand-new Kenwood stand mixer, along with the accolade of having their gingerbread creation made by the BBC Good Food kitchen team and featured in our December magazine.

So, if you know some keen biscuiteers between the ages of five and 12, there's no time to waste! Encourage them to get drawing and either upload, email or post us their entry.

How to enter

Upload, email or post us an A4 drawing of your gingerbread home. Include your name, age, and a parent, guardian or teacher’s name, telephone number and email address.
