After more than 2000 years, Viennese wine-growing is trendier today than ever before. The traditional 'heuriger' also increasingly draws younger guests who know how to appreciate a relaxed atmosphere, fine wines and a good snack, with the quality of the wine playing an ever more important role. Here, Viennese wine has achieved a level of quality never seen before. Young, committed vintners demonstrate that Riesling, Pinot Blanc and the 'Gemischter Satz' are amongst the country's best wines and thus Viennese wine is increasingly conquering the city itself. The presentation of the trendy 'Young Viennese' at the end of October demonstrates the high profile of Viennese wine in the city.
