"A lovely cake, really moist and light. I used light brown sugar as I didn't have dark muscovado, and golden syrup instead of black treacle. I added a mixture of currants, sultanas, glace cherries and mixed fruit from a packet as that's what was in my store cupboard. The cake is sweet enough without icing, really delicious. I will try this again using dark brown sugar and black treacle. Definitely one to make for Christmas!"

"I was disappointed with this, but maybe I should have cooked the potatoes a bit before adding the lamb, as by the time the potatoes had softened the meat was dry. I will try it again sometime as so many people have made such positive comments it must be worth another go. "

"I made this dish and the roasted vegetable lasagne for supper yesterday - everyone loved them. The tomato sauce with the beef stock and mince made by far the best ragu I have ever tasted. I will not be buying jars of bolognese sauce again! Had to add a bit more milk to the white sauce as it was too thick to 'drizzle'. Could easily substitute different veg for the veggie lasagne but the aubergines and red peppers combination was a real winner. Both of these recipes will become firm favourites in our house from now on!"

"Really quick and easy to make, a great way to use up overripe bananas. I added sultanas instead of nuts, delicious!"
