    Classic pumpkin pie with pecan & maple cream

    "This is actually meant for the Pumpkin Pie recipe in Nov 2011 Mag- it is probably very similar. I had never tried pumpkin pie before either but really enjoyed it. It did remind me of egg custard tart but less 'eggy' and a nice taste of cinnamon too. Maybe the Nov 2011 one is a bit healthier as its made with milk not cream and I only had skimmed SO I just had to pour over a spot of double cream : ) No point throwing all that pumpkin flesh away - give it a try, you may be pleasantly suprised !"

    "This tastes lovely but it certainly doesn't scoop like the photo ! It freezes into a solid block takes ages to defrost and has to be sliced not scooped. Goodfood -Would it be better churned in an icecream maker ??? "

    "I added a few chilli flakes and plenty black pepper to the sauce which made it really yummy. There was plenty sauce (although mine served 3 hungry adults not 4) and the apple in the meatballs seemed to keep them moist - didn't add to the taste. Have already made it twice and it will now become a regular midweek supper dish."

    Blueberry cheesecake brûlée pots

    "Made for dessert tonight, very nice. I used a blow torch and although I still need more practice they all turned out 'crunchy' on top. Was nice to have a low fat pud that didn't taste as if there was something missing ! Will definitely make again."

    "Tasted ok but I didn't get anything like a set after 40 mins it was still a very tasty thick custard - any ideas what to change as I liked the taste and the method was so easy. (I served mine with orange shortbread fingers !)"
