"very easy recipe, yes bland, not too dry, needs the choc custard or the added choc chips or cover in the chocolate ganache from the ultimate chocolate cake like I did and was so yummy but not very low calorie or low fat...who cares when it tastes that good."

"Made these, very easy recipe bound well together and cooked quickly at 170 centigrade in about 10 minutes. The children enjoyed making shapes with cutters and the dough held well. Made them for the local fete and they were a hit. Will definitely use again."

"I made this cake for a fete, it sold out in the first hour with many compliments of this being the best chocolate cake ever. I have never been good at making cakes and this turned out smaller so couldnt cut in half or three but covered it in the ganache and looked good. I didnt use buttermilk just ordinary milk but did use good quality plain dark chocolate in the cake. Will definitely try this again, cooked well on lower temperature in the time stated."
