"I make lots of cakes, and have to say I was disappointed. I made it a couple of weeks back, and again today and unfortunately the cakes are too dry. In all honesty I use the traditional cream the butter and sugar method rather than the all in one, so this could be the problem I guess......."

Italian chicken & butternut pie

"This went down a storm at my informal dinner party. Left out the redcurrants with no substitution, added chopped parsley to the parmesan, used chopped smoked back bacon instead of pancetta to keep the cost and fat down. Served deli olives with toasted pitta and houmus for apetisers (yes I know it's not Italian!!) this casserole with mixed rice and side salad, then pineapple with mint sugar for dessert. Really easy to prep, then enjoy yourself with your mates instead of staying in the kitchen."

Rhubarb spice cake

"What's going on on the picture? That's not rhubarb stirred into the mixture as per the recipe!! (it sinks to the bottom of the liquid cake mixture) Followed the recipe to the letter and it was great, huge compliments from my entourage of cake quality testers at work!! Wasn't worried about the syrup as it takes a similar amount in gingerbread. A great success, give it a go, takes about an hour and 10 mins, I set my oven to 150 degrees (circotherm) to allow it to cook properly without burning, and the beauty of this cake is it's never gonna turn out dry!"

"This is now my standard recipe for chilli. I use extra lean mince. Brown the onions well and use smoked paprika for a superb flavour. I prefer it without the chocolate and never add sugar either."
