"Wonderful recipe, everyone agreed that the flavours were good and had no problem with tough bits of pineapple, but then I do own a pineapple peeler/corer. If I make it again I might whip an egg white (not too stiff) and fold in before the mixture has frozen solid ,as I usually do when making blackcurrant sorbet."

" I added frozen baby broad beans, but blanched and peeled them first (well worth the trouble), I have also tried it adding asparagus spears and green beans (you can also use frozen) and sprinkle with fresh herbs of your choice before serving"

" The recipe looks great - I am making it tomorrow but you have omitted th 100gr/4oz of ground almonds from the ingredients in the online recipe (they are included in the magazine) Also a pity that it is not listed in the magazine under "Gluten Free Fruit filled cake" - I knew I had seen the "gluten free" recipe in many of my magazines although I was sure it was in Good Food, but could find no clue in the index so I spent ages searching and then resorted to searching online. Please correct the ingredients I am sure the omission will make a big difference! "

Little Eccles mince pies

" I made them a little smaller 9 cm circles, really as a trial for Christmas - they were a great success and I also froze some (before baking) I will definitely be making them instead of the usual mince pies and might even try adding a little marzipan to the mince meat"
