"I make this with sweded and carrots, as we don't like turnips. So I guess it's a little like an upmarket version of "neeps & tatties." My four year old son doesn't like swede, horseradish OR sour cream, but he will happily eat this. It's great mixed in with mashed potatoes, and we also like it as an alternative topping on cottage pie. "

"I made this over Christmas, using a loaf tin as the mould. I served it with a warm boozy cranberry sauce. It looked stunning and was a lovely alternative to the usual Christmas desserts. This is one of those freezer-standbys which will be well-received at any time of the year, and it is sooooooo easy to make."

"This has got to be the easiest dip in the world. I make it with peppered mackerel and serve it with warm pitta bread fingers. There is never any left !!"

"I made this as a starter for a dinner party a few weeks ago. Everyone sung its' and my praises. It is such a simple, yet effective recipe and looks like it's taken hours, which of course it hasn't. Will certainly make this again."

"Made these on Tuesday. I don't care for pancakes, but my husband loves them and ate 4 in one sitting !!! I froze the remainder, but expect they will have a very short freezer-life !!"
