"Used half tinned pureed half cooked vacuum packed chestnuts. Made it for friends with wheat allergy and they loved it. Would put Morello cherries in it next time. Chestnuts are in most winter puddings/cakes in my homeland ( Hungary) and we buy it pureed and frozen- or eat it roasted. The tinned variety is cheap and versatile. "

"I made a large flan sized and a small one -the cauliflower in the large one was still very "al dente" but pastry and sauce were good. Will definitely make it again. "

"Another great soup for my collection. Warming,hearthy,cheapish-the dry cured bacon is a bit pricey but worth it. Didn't have celery,still very tasty."

"We eat a soup as a main meal twice a week and I am always looking for new ideas. Loved the toasted seeds on the top- used half cumin half caraway (favourite). Forgot to get naan bread , made croutons out of a day old sourdough bread- delicious!"
