"Hi I weigh 7 stone 7lbs and work really hard all week. when I get to saturday I love to indulge myself in something wicked like this recipe (which I am going to cook tonight) life is too short to worry so much. And besides, you don't get fat from once a week treats that take 3 hours to make from scratch. The stuff that makes our kids fat are convenience foods that can be bought from shops day and night for next to nothing and eaten in 3 seconds flat. lifes too short to feel guilty about every little indulgence. so, pour yourself a glass of wine, cut yourself a slice of pie, and ENJOY."

Carrot & sesame burgers

"These are fantastic- full of flavour and extremely satisfying. Make sure you take care when cooking them on the BBQ as mine threatened to fall inbetween the bars of the grill. Leave them to chill for a few hours before cooking so that they are firm"

Chicken & white bean stew

"Made it veggie by dropping the chicken thighs, using veggie stock and adding potato for a bit more body an dit was really really nice, might add some quorn chicken pieces next time"

"I love this recipe and make it whenever I have a less than fresh granny smith lurking at the bottom of the salad drawer...I was suprised that apple worked so well in this recipe, I somethimes add sage ini stead of the mixed herbs and it worked really well"
