"Delicious, moist, and chocolatey, I used milk cooking choc, as I don't like dark, and don't really understand why dark chocolate is used in lots of choc recipies... sorry I digress..... and I also did not add the topping as I had no pecans, but the urge to bake the cake was very strong. Very pleased with the results."

"Wow, I can actually bake a cake. I am fairly new to baking, and it never ceaces to amaze me when it comes out right. This was wonderful, me and my 2 year old son made it, I was a bit worried that his enthusiastic mixing would make it heavy, but nope it was light, airy and very tasty. My baking tray may have been a bit to big, I was a bit worried as I couldn't quite cover all the apple completly on the top layer and due to this I used about 3/4's of the apple, but I need not to have worried, plenty of apple flavour and plenty of cake around it all. Thank you for this web site. Off to make the apple fruit cake now!"
