Freezer biscuits

"Easy to make & great to have on standby in the freezer. I made some today & baked a few. They tasted so good I think some more will be going in the oven very soon. I added coconut & raisins & a little ginger."

Honeyed carrot soup

"Lovely soup & quick & easy to prepare. I agree with others that used less stock, I started with 1.5 l & after blending the soup I found that it was the perfect consistency for my personal taste, I prefer a thicker soup rather than runny. I would recommend starting with a smaller amount of stock than stated in the recipe as you can always add more if you want a thinner consistency."

Smoked fish & cherry tomato rarebit

"Yum! Easy to make & I can see why others have made for guests as is looks good when it comes out of the oven. It does make a generous amount of sauce but I say you can't have too much of a good thing. I served with plain, new potatoes which went well with the richness of the dish. Will definitely be making again."

Chinese-style braised beef one-pot

"One of the best recipes I've tried in ages. Easy to make & absolutely delicious. The flavour combinations were great & I would definitely make this for friends. I used a cheap casserole beef & cooked at 150 (fan oven) for about 4 hours so the meat just fell apart."

Steamed mussels with leeks, thyme & bacon

"Great! This is so easy, so tasty and so definately on the 'must make again' list! I used cider and lemon thyme, the lemon thyme gave a lovely flavour. Next time I think I'm going to try it with wine & then chorizo instead of bacon. "
