Layered squash, barley & spinach pie

"Hello, I had a go at this recipe a few weeks ago. It is not moderately easy! I have never had to read & re read a recipe so many times. I did prepare the layers the day before & made the pastry and assembled/cooked before eating. We had it cold the following day as well. "900g tin" was not very helpful; my loaf tin was too small & I had loads left over, some dimentions would have been useful. I baked the leftovers in a separate tin without pastry, it was nice enough but I was a bit disapointed after all the effort!"
