"This is a quick but elegant pud however I now whip the cream lightly before folding in the mascarpone. It bulks it up a bit and thus makes more substantial servings which is essential when feeding teenagers. Crushed Malteasers make a good alternative to Crunchies."

"This is what we used to call turnovers. My mum used to make them out of left over pastry filled with fruit, jam, curd or mincemeat. They make a nice quick pudding which everyone enjoyed. I couldn't get blackberries on the day I made them so used apple and blueberries. Basically you can use any fruit you like."

"A lovely pudding without the need to steam for hours on the hob. I agree it is very sweet but cut the sweetness with a custard with not too much sugar in it."
