Best-ever brownies

"They are very nice, although there are a few points of note. I cooled my chocolate/butter mix in an ice bath to get it to a stage where it wouldn't immediately start cooking the eggs, which absolutely would have happened had I followed the recipe's instructions exactly. The cooking time also ended up being 20 minutes longer than suggested. Neither of those things is likely to trip up anybody who is confident in the kitchen. One thing which is slightly more problematic to me is that upon tasting the first brownie, I immediately wished I had added a pinch of salt to the mix as it really was obviously missing. Those things aside, though, the flavour is good, the method is simple and the texture is perfect. I'll definitely revisit this."

"This was very nice. If you made it and either your bread was tough, your meat was bland, or the whole thing was greasy, it's probably because you did it wrong, not a problem with the recipe. Either you didn't knead/prove the dough properly, you didn't season the meat mixture well enough, or you failed to notice that the recipe stipulates using lean mince."

"Very nice, elegant dish which allows the quality of the halibut and the jersey royals to speak for themselves with only subtle enhancements. I'd be happy to serve this to guests any time, and that's always a pleasure to say about anything this quick and easy to make."
