    "Lovely and easy recipe, but had no gruyere so used some leftover goats cheese and some comte. Had no dble cream so used up what i had in fridge, mix of 15% creme fraiche and a 200ml box of creme liquide. No onion ! either so used garlic for the infusion. Next time i will try mixing in some of the milder Patak's curry paste, as i often do with a parsnip soup, should go well with the sweetness of this dish too."

    Gratin of white cabbage & lentils in a Provençal sauce

    "i didnt fancy the provencal take on this one so adapted it. I used a jar of taco sauce instead of the tomato, and added a large tspoon of cumin and pieces of chorizo and some chilli oil. also used celery salt instead of seasalt. Before i sprinkled over the breadcrumbs and cheese mix ,gruyere and doubled- i added slices of goats cheeseon top and when the dish came out of the oven i sprinkled it with fresh coriander. The result was a fabulous spicy crispy dish in which the cabbage didnt taste of cabbage at all. moorish!"

    "didnt have feta or ricotta cheese. instead used 15% creme fraiche, mozzarella , some goats cheese and topped up to required amount with yoghurt, used 2 eggs, a quarter of an ordinary onion very finely cut up as i didnt have spring onions either, really i just used up lots of ods en ends i had lurking in the fridge a good handfull of mushrooms cut into chunks and rather more spinach than stated and not the baby variety either! lots of pepper and herb salt very good basic recipe, asking to be adapted result was fantastic, will so make again as i love spinach"
