"cooked this for 3.5 hours and still the steak was tough... i'm sure my mother used to cook braising steak for half the day! flavours nice and good thick sauce but given all the recipes out there, certainly wouldn't do this one again"

"Did all of the cooking the day before then reheated as per the recipe.... disaster.... was still stone cold when i attempted to carve... guests had to wait another 1.5 hours for dinner, still wasn't piping hot... very embarrassing!!"

"I loved this soup (added chick peas as I'd discovered my carrots had seen better days) - really delicious. my boyfriend thought it was a bit bland though so I chucked in some more chilli. Will definitely make this again"
