"Very easy and very moreish, my daughters and family members loved it! Though I think I'd make a chocolate biscuit base next time - just a personal preference. "

"Very easy cupcakes made muffin style. They went down a treat! Personally I'd reduce the sugar a bit, but thats just because my tooth is not as sweet as it used to be, but delicious nonetheless, and I think they would be beautiful with the grated rind of a lemon or two in, and a little juice, which for me, would cut through the richness and give a nice tang. Would make again. "

Simmer-&-stir Christmas cake

"Well what can I say? Incredibly easy and absolutely delicious. I shall be making this on a regular basis from now on. I fed it for 10 days with regular doses of cherry brandy and cognac, and it was beautiful. Omitted the nuts as a can't bear them, but it certainly wasn't lacking anything as a result. The cherry brandy came through beautifully (though I was generous when feeding it), and don't worry about the alcohol, it evaporates when cooked and just leaves the flavour, just don't feed it afterwards! A stunning moist, rich fruit cake suitable for any special occasion. "

Jaffa drizzle loaf

"This is delicious, I made this ages ago when the magzine was published and have just found this recipe on the site, but having a huge pile of good food mags often means I lose track of where my favourite recipes are (any chance of the torta de chocolat recipe please?). This is a perfect cake for a cup of tea, light tangy and moreish. Might make one again tonight! "
