Roasted butternut squash soup

Pumpkin & sage spaghetti

"I found steaming the pumpkin made it taste very bland. Maybe it would be better with butternut squash or roasting the pumpkin? The sage butter was nice, but it left the dish tasting very oily. I'd have to drastically change this recipe to make it again. Would not make it again as the recipe stands."

The ultimate makeover: Spaghetti carbonara

"Made it exactly as the recipe said but with a little bit more bacon. Tastes exactly how you'd expect - like light, healthy carbonara! I would definitely make it again, maybe with slightly less spaghetti next time because there was an awful lot of it. It barely fit in the pan!"

Best-ever brownies

"These genuinely are the best brownies I have made in a long time! If not ever! Soft, gooey and chocolatey without being too rich. Need to whip the eggs for a long time to get the right texture but it's well worth the effort!"

"Very easy to make. Looked beautiful, just like the picture but it certainly wasn't the best cheesecake I've ever had in my life. The texture was nice, but I found the cheesecake itself a bit bland. I think this recipe needs a teaspoon of vanilla essence rather than a few drops to liven it up a bit."
