"Really nice recipe - have made it twice now. Found it slightly too 'clovey' first time, so used 2 whole cloves instead and it was just right - just have to try and find them to fish them out..."

"Really nice flavours, a lot like tiramisu in cheesecake form. My only concern is the gelatine in the 'cheesecake' bit... my gelatine turned to tiny bits of jelly when it was mixed in, in spite of following the instructions. has anyone made this without the gelatine and eggs in the middle bit? Are they completely necessary? Otherwise, it was lovely - very impressive to look at for a special occasion."

"Really lovely. Was worried about it when I made it as it didn't look like it was cooked properly. Gave it an extra hour, and it kept perfectly from stir up sunday to christmas day. Lovely flavours, and guests who didn't like christmas pud actually had extra helpings."

"Forgot to say that this would go really nicely with the spicy cucumber salad (June 2007) rather than the mint and lime salad suggested in the magazine article. The mint salad was ok, but the cucumber salad is much tastier with a refreshing juicy crunch."
