"Have made these many times and they always disappear very rapidly! Really delicious - and yes they are on the moist, slightly heavy side - but that makes them more like american style cupcakes and not like British fairy cakes :)"

"really yummy and easy to make - I used grated courgette in place of peas as I happened to have them and it worked just as well (I've made the pea version too). I did quite a fast boil to reduce the liquid a bit."

"My veg hating boys really liked this and were shocked they'd had beetroot! I liked the 'dark' taste - but then I love dark chocolate. I used sainsburys 'basic' dark chocolate."
