"Really nice flavour and my wife has insisted that I make it again. It does get very very smokey in the kitchen so make sure the window's open. Also, I'll turn the heat down a little to med/high next time as the first side became a little charred. The '2 minute resting' is essential to make sure the meat stays moist"

"I'm looking to make this is a couple of days but like a few people have found, pomegranate molasses isn't the kind of thing you'd find in your local supermarket so I've found a recipe and made some myself to use. Try 1L pomegranate juice (I've used 250ml concentrate topped up with water), 4 oz sugar and 125ml lemon juice. Heat together on a medium/high heat until sugar has dissolved then simmer for about 1 1/4 hrs until you have approx 200/250ml syrupy liquid. Pour into a jar and cool. A bit of a chore but probably easier than searching the world for the real thing. Hope this helps :-)"

Cinnamon Rock Cakes

"I made these for the guys at the tennis club to have after our game and they disappeared within minutes. Even one of the girls on a diet had two!! One note of warning - it doesn't mention in the instructions when to add the fruit so make sure you do this before putting them in the oven. Will definitely be making these again"

Rhubarb crumble

"Both my wife and I hated rhubarb until I decided to make this with the adopted rhubarb we had with the house we bought 3 years instead of throwing it away...again!! I've made it twice in a fortnight and she's asked me to make it again so I think that shows how nice this is. The port makes a real difference so worth buying a small bottle plus the walnuts are a must for that bit of crunch. Well done Gregory :-)"

Fish pie with saffron mash

"This was absolutely gorgeous even with a few amendments and ommissions. As I didn't have any cream I used a simple white sauce instead and also substituted the white wine for rose and the crab meat for more haddock (too lazy to wander down to the shops!!). All of that aside it was really really tasty and my wife will definately make sure I do this again :-)"
