Fish pie with saffron mash

"This was absolutely gorgeous even with a few amendments and ommissions. As I didn't have any cream I used a simple white sauce instead and also substituted the white wine for rose and the crab meat for more haddock (too lazy to wander down to the shops!!). All of that aside it was really really tasty and my wife will definately make sure I do this again :-)"

" Not bad but it was a little bland even with the spices and the 'sauce' was very watery. Not sure I'll be giving it another go if I'm honest"

Chicken stir-fry in 4 easy steps

"Within a minute of adding the fish sauce, which I'd never used before, my wife asked whether something had gone off. I persevered and it tasted far better than it smelt. I threw in some home grown red chilli which gave it a real kick. Might try it again but might reduce or leave out the fish sauce!!! The velveting was a revelation and I'll definately do that again."

"Very tasty even without the tamarind. I also pushed the processed tomatoes through a sieve which got rid of a lot of pulp and gave a smoother soup plus added a little sugar as per one of the other suggestions. Will make it again once I've picked more tomatoes!!"

"First time that I've made a carrot cake and was surprised how much oil went into it and therefore how oily it was once cooked. Would want a less oily recipe to make another one."
