- My last supper would be... I'm pretty mood-driven when it comes to food, and there are SO many things I like, it's hard to choose. I think it would have to be Creme Brulee for dessert though - with Morello cherries in Kirsch.
- My fool proof recipe is... My home-made Macaroni Cheese with Bacon - gets the kid's vote every time.
- My favourite utensil is... Mini-chopper
- If I am not cooking I'm... Reading - or messing around on the computer.
- The best meal I've eaten was... At the Star Inn, Harome, North Yorkshire - the Suckling Pig with Quinces was sublime.

"mary.lunn - coconuts aren't true nuts. Unless your grandson is actually allergic to coconuts, it will be fine to use coconut milk."

Salted caramel chocolate torte

"I made this for friends in the US, and I couldn't find ready made caramel, or dulce de leche, so i just boiled a can of condensed milk for about 3 hours, which was a pain, but worth it. It turned out absolutely perfect."

"The only criticism I would make would be to slightly re-word the ingredients list. A lot of people don't read the recipe through carefully, and may miss the fact that the sugar needs to be split into 2 separate quantities. I would be more inclined to specify 250g for the cake batter, and then 150g for the drizzle. The same goes for the lemons. Other than that, lovely recipe. I am going to try it with limes next time."

Fudgy coconut brownies

"I don't usually keep a stock of chocolate in my cupboards, so I was pleased to find a recipe for brownies that I could make on impulse rather than having to shop for ingredients. I didn't have any coconut though, so I left it out, which didn't detract at all from the result. The texture was perfect even without the coconut. I added some white chocolate chips that I had in the cupboard. Will definitely make these again."
