"I made this at the weekend for our stage of a Christmas safari supper and it was amazing! Perfect, as I could pop the main part out of the freezer and finish off with the meringue while our guests enjoyed a Christmas cosmopolitan. I wasn't able to find any orange sorbet to buy so made this too. Topped it off with an ice fountain sparkler (Paperchase) which was a great finishing touch! I have enough ice cream and sorbet left so my husband has ordered another for Boxing Day!"

"This is lush! I didn't reduce the sauce in the last step because we like a little sauce in the finished dish. Also, next time I may try putting the spices in a muslin bag as the star anise fell apart and we kept finding little bits when we were eating!"

"Really lovely! Just a tip to help with the sieving bit; use the back of a ladle in circular movements and a little pressure to pass the mixture through the sieve, takes no time at all!"

"Made this for dinner tonight. I only had thin cut pork loin steaks but it still worked well. Delicious and will certainly be making it again. In response to Shirley Ann, I found the juniper berries in my local Somerfield (I'm probably a bit late with that and not much help now!)"
