"I did not think this was at all delicious and certainly not worth the calorie splurge, although I did not add the cream layer. Disappointing!"

"I can't give these even one star as they were HORRIBLE!!!! Ditto all the above comments! Lucky chickens because they really are not worth eating, toasted or not . . . I honestly cannot believe that these were ever tested. What a waste of ingredients, electricity and time. "

"This was delicious! I also stir fried veg first and used what I had - red peppers, onions, broccoli. I was hoping there would be leftovers - no chance!"

"Also had some trouble with the pastry and also ended up cooking it for far longer than stated which did cause the pastry to harden. I also forgot the lemon juice which made it a little sweet! BUT I would definitely try again. Perhaps a proper measure of the juice to be added to the custard would help or perhaps I will just put less in next time. Delicious inspiteof all the above!"

"These pies were not difficult to make, tasted delicious but boy oh boy were they messy in the oven. They puffed up too much and then the mincemeat spillage started - what a mess. I tried two lots fiddling with size and quantity of filling etc but they still made a mess! I would definitely use the concept again as they are much lighter than a traditional mince pie but I would definitely try a different pastry! "
