"The first time that I made this dish I followed the recipe exactly and felt it lacked something! I then followed other tips on here and added some fresh chilli, a bit of chopped red onion and extra chorizo then poached the fish in the sauce and this really made the dish! It's now a firm favourite accompanied by some boiled new potatoes and veg. "

"I love this pasta sauce!!! I use Sicilian inspired sausages which already contain fennel and the flavours are wonderful. A firm favourite in our house!!"

"Another lovely dish however it does need some tweaking!! I added some chopped bacon and used chicken stock instead of plain water after reading other comments. I also simmered the dish uncovered for longer so the sauce was thicker however once the beans are added, the sauce does seem to become thicker anyway. If I have any veg that I need to use up that usually gets thrown in too! Lovely with rice."

"Fantastic chilli recipe and the only one I use now! Love the addition of the chocolate which does add richness to the dish. My husband and I like spicy food so I do add either fresh red chilli or chilli flakes as well as the chilli powder which gives it slightly more of a kick. "
