"I was very disappointed with these. I followed the recipe to the letter and while they rose well enough they were very doughy, and the taste of the vanilla was overpowering. The family's reaction was "they're alright!" Exactly. They're just alright. I won't be making them again."

"This was rather nice. Not brilliant, I won't be rushing out to buy another turkey to use the leftovers, but it wasn't bad. I tried it with the added bacon and I do feel that helped add flavour as turkey is very bland. All in all a nice cheap meal with very little effort."

"This was actually harder than the easy label would have you believe. Easy would have been chucking it all in one pot and stirring. It was nice, and a great way of using up the excess from the allotment, but not something I'd make again if I'd had to buy the ingredients. It was tasty however. And will no doubt be made again at least three times in the next fortnight to get rid of our glut of courgettes and augergines."

"Following previous advice, I cooked the chorizo first, but I added half a chopped red pepper to it as it was cooking. Lord and Master is a meat and three veg fan and looked the bowl of soup and said he wasn't hungry. Then he came back to the table after a while as the smell was so good. And guess what? He loved it. It just shows, it might be different but it'll win traditionalist over as it's so full of flavour. This recipe will become one of my repeat recipes. Excellent."

"Too homogenised for me. I prefer the vegetables in small chunks as it gies it more texture. I won't use this recipe again."
