"I found that this was quite dry, dont know if done something wrong cooking it but was still very nice, I did decide to swap the butter for pura, found that with my electric oven had to extend the cooking time by 10 min"

"I decided to make this for my fiancees stepdad for a birthday cake, rather than a round cake I make this is a silicon square mould, I adapted the ingriedients. increased the flour to 170g, butter I swapped for pura, increased the caster sugar to 170g, used 3 eggs and only needed to use 4 pears. what i found out after all this was that the moisture in the pears makes it very difficult to judge the cooking times, in my mixed grill electric oven it eventually took 2hrs cooking at 180.c also to stop from burning half way through cover over with foil and take off for the last 15min, have been advised it was very nice and moist"

"I attempted to make this and it was an attempt, I didnt do the frosting as was making this for work and it would have made a big mess on the computers, I swapped the butter for pura as try not to cook too much with butter as have lots of friends that dont take dairy, I did find that the coffee wouldnt melt with the chocolate, I mixed it all together anyway, it came out loooking like spotted dick as the coffee granules melted whilst cooking, had to extend the cooking time as my oven isnt very good, its a combined oven grill, had to leave in the oven for about 75 minutes, everyone loved it still"

"I made this and changed the butter for pura as found pura easier to work with than butter and I have a lot of friends that are either on diets or cant take dairy, I made it on the friday and took it to work on the monday to friday to allow it to draw in the moisture as brownies need to be left a few days to get moist, just put greaseproof paper in a tin and put ontop of, I have lots of friends that like brownies so rather than making it in a cake tin i doubled all the ingredients and made in a pyrex lasagna dish"

"I made this for my work and everyone loved it, they were shocked to find it had mash in it, I also made it for my fiancee to take into her works for the girls at waitrose milton keynes and they are still telling me how much they enjoyed it, there are a few things that I did change though, used pura instead of butter to make it dairy free and used some of the pura in the mash to make it smooth, I increased the almonds to 200g and only used 3 eggs, was still wonderful"
