"I've made this several times - especially now I'm on a low fat diet - so easy. I vary the spices & sometimes add some baby leaf spinach to wilt at the end for a change."

"A wonderful, easy, tasty soup. Yes it makes loads, I had to use my large stockpot to make it. I had to put in more stock to make it more like a soup. I always add dried basil for flavour & sometimes add a couple of finely chopped leeks when I add the cabbage. It serves at least 8 hungry people! Popular with all of the family."

"I made this when it first was in the magazine many, many years ago, must have been in the early 90's. My son pulled a face at it, but once tasted was completely hooked & I've made it many times since. the original recipe used suet instead of butter & I stick to that - easier than grating butter!"

Pork & rosemary lasagne

"Quark is a low fat soft cheese which can be used to make a low fat cheesecake instead of using curd cheese. Its been used as the topping to make it a healthy alternative to the usual sauce. as I'm dieting, I can't wait to try it as lasagne is normally a no no for me!"

"Quick & easy, I doubled it to feed 8 including children. Carrots were delicious & were commented on. I added garlic & chicken stock, but would add more spices as previous suggestions & a little chilli, but was afraid to add this time because of the children. Will make again soon. "
