"Totally agree with the other comments regarding being dry on their own and also the fact that they are described as "muffins" where as a more appropriate description would be cupcakes. I have made these since with chocolate chips and they are so much more moist. Just make sure that you coat the chips in flour to stop them sinking to the bottom of the batter. A very easy recipe and with the modifications mentioned (both mine and other subscribers), they are a real treat."

"An exceptionally easy dessert which I have now made on several occasions and it has been hugely successful every time. However, if you are short of time and / or not that confident with your pastry making ability, then you will always find perfectly acceptable ready made pastry cases in any supermarket. "

"I have made this soup now on many occasions and it always receives great compliments. It is actually much easier than it may look from the method. I have yet to serve it with the sauteed wild mushrooms but it still a hit. Very smooth, creamy and full of flavour. It is fine frozen."
