"Made this for Christmas presents this year; really well received. I cheated with the vanilla pods as I was making in bulk and it would have been very expensive to buy loads of vanilla pods.. so I found 'vanilla bean paste' in Waitrose and added half a teaspoon to each recipe instead which seemed fine. I also reduced the sugar content by a third - was still very sweet, especially with the vanilla. I struggled to find suitable presentation bottles so initially used the 'Bottle Green' cordial bottles as suggested by someone else here, but the labels are a nightmare to remove! After the first 3 I went hunting for other screw top bottles and ended up using Fentiman's root beer/ginger beer/curiosity cola etc bottles. These are smaller (500ml) so results in more presents for people, and the labels just fall off in the sink - even better! Made my own gift labels to add to the plain bottles and they looked quite sweet."
