"This Rhubarb Spice cake was a great hit at work when I took the cake in for my birthday - it got many good comments and requests for the recipie from my colleagues. It was quite slow to cook in my oven so I had to add more time on but the results were tasty and worth the wait."

"Made these with blueberries and no chocolate. They tasted nice but didnt rise as a lot of others have mentioned. We are trying them again tonight with rhubarb, more baking powder and more egg."

"This was a really easy to bake cake. The results were delicious and the cake was moist. I used a somerset cider instead of pomona as my supermarket didnt stock it."

"I really enjoyed making and eating this cake. The taste is yummy and it is not as heavy as a traditional fruit cake. I also started to get to grips with icing - a new hobby of mine."
