"In a senior moment I decided to do the whole South African recipe from this issue, the prawn cakes, babotie, chutney and cocount tart for a South African friend and colleague of my husband. Broke the rule about not making a dish for the first time for a dinner party! and to make South African food for a South African!!!! Senior?? Crazy. Everything turned out perfectly! no All spice berries out here in Yemen but it was all absolutely delicious. Our friend said it was truly authentic Why am I commenting now? he has just rang to ask me to make it for a party he is having!!!"

"Anyone got a suggestion for an alternative to Ricotta? Can't get it here in Yemen but would love to try this as we have the most delicious courgettes out here."

"This is a delicious recipe although I would say that it serves more like 6, unless the recipe means four people with huge capacity for food! I did not use celery as it is not available out here in Yemen, the leaves are but they throw away the stalk??? I also used mature cheddar, 2 garlic cloves and Greek Yoghurt made with my Easiyo yoghurt maker. All of my family like this and my student daughter makes it for her Uni friends. Haven't tried freezing it but it reheats well after being in the fridge."

"I have made this recipe dozens of times. When my daughter went off to University I put it into a recipe file for her. It freezes perfectly. Now living in Yemen I make it with whipping cream as any other cream is difficult to get. Works perfectly, although I double the sauce quantities, it keeps it more moist, especially if I am freezing it. It is delicious with garlic bread."
