"I'm not a huge fan of fruit cake but I found these really tasty. They were very straight forward to make and looked lovely when finished. I did find that the mixture stretched much further than 12 cakes though. I made 18 and still felt that there wasn't quite enough room in the muffin cases to have a decent amount of marzipan and fondant icing. Next time I make them I'll put less in each case and make more of them. I'll be making them as part of my Christmas hampers for presents this year."

"Gave this as part of a Christmas hamper to parents and in-laws. Went down very well with both and was so easy and quick to prepare. Will definitely give this as a present again. "

"Very tasty and extremely easy to make. Impressed my husband too, and that's not easy to do with a fish dish. Have made a few times, also with variations, such as adding peppers. Would cook this for friends too. "

"Fantastic recipe. Used this in Christmas present hampers for both parents and in-laws and went down extremely well. Will definitely make this again."

"Such an easy cake to make and goes down well every time I make it. Would recommend covering the cake with foil after about 40 mins in the oven to keep it nice and moist and stop the hazelnuts on top turning too brown. "
