"Yummy lovely dish. I'd never made it before and it was very easy. I only had big bratwurst sausages which took a little longer but tasted really great. Batter was lovely and light."

"Glenwood - in answer to your question about a substitute for milk, I often use a blob of either yoghurt or sour cream which makes the mash very silky. If you're allergic to milk products, you could also try soy milk with a touch of sugar."

"Lovely recipe - smells of summer! My husband doesn't like parsnips, so I made it with new potatoes and it was great. Second time I made it I was really tired, so I put the basil and garlic in with the tomatoes and made plain mash - that was lovely too!"

"I've never baked a biscuit in my life! Thought I'd try my hand at these and was absolutely enchanted with the way they turned out! So easy to make, beautiful to look at. I dropped some tiny silver confectioner's wedding balls into the centres while they were still warm and soft from the oven and they look fabulous!"
