Tagliatelle with a lemon pork ragù

"I used anchovies instead of pancetta, and added some mushrooms. Both worked well. Also the recipe did not include fresh lemon juice, which I squeezed into the pot while tossing the parsley and lemon zest. It made the whole dish a lot more tasty and not as heavy. Would definitely make it again."

Spiced vegetable biryani

"Spent quite a bit longer on cooking this dish but the rice was still only half cooked. Very frustrated. Followed the recipe word by word which also means there are enough for another 3 dinners while there are only two of us! The flavour was good but don't think I'd attempt to have another go very soon."

"Thanks to previous reviews I used chopped olives instead of whole olives, and replaced the salty stock with a less salty one at the last minute. It worked and reminded me some casserole dishes I had in Spain and Portugal before. I'd say the lemon wasn't necessary at all, since there were already enough of flavours from tomatoes, chorizo, and olives. Great with cous cous, bread, or even boiled potato. "

"This is so tasty and just the same as what we had at a morrocan restaurant the other day. Did it exactly to the books but used chicken thighs with bones, which made the soup/gravy a whole lot more flavoursome. Very easy to make too, which is a bonus!"
