"Made the first batch which were very dry and crumbly and the bi-carb after taste was horribe, so, I made another batch. Used an extra tablespoon of water and extra bit of golden syrup and only 1/2 tsp bi-carb. The result was much better. Tasty and more-ish. YUM"

"I am allergic to raw cherries but can eat them cooked so this is ideal for me. It's delicious. Mine took 35 mins in fan oven. The amount of cherries seems a lot, I thought they might make the cake soggy, but it's just right. We had it with creme fraiche as that's what I had in the fridge, and it went really well with it."

"Serves 4 mice! Not nearly enough, I would double the quantity if I cooked it again. Found it to be quite dry and a bit bland. Didn't go down particularly well with hubby and teenage sons. "

"fantastic soup, my kids will eat it, and they don't like soup! My mum, who is on her own now, makes this a lot. A lot of nutrition in a bowl! I fry smokey streaky bacon and add it for extra flavour."
