"The pastry is amazing to taste but a right **** to work with. I'm going to try the 'add half a beaten egg' method and see what happens. Might try a bakewell tart type topping instead of all pastry but not decided yet (disorganised baker). Either way, I'll be using this pastry recipe for many other things."

"Yum. A huge hit with my two boys (4 & 6) and DH! I tend to use leftover roast chicken and the stock made from the carcass, plus pak choi. This has become a regular staple mid-weeker in our house. Oh and it's a very good soup for curing man 'flu..."

"Had some smoked salmon left over from Christmas (strange, I know!) and didn't have enough pasta to make a sauce with it, so this seemed to be an option. It was amazing! Would heartily recommend it to anyone. Made it with half fat creme fraiche and bunged in a load of king prawns. As we say in Cornwall, was 'ansome boy."
