"I tried this yesterday,thought it would be a nice easy supper dish with some nice pickled cabbage and salad. I followed the recipe to the letter, but the amount of butter seemed an awful lot. I was right, the greasiness of the dish was most unpleasant. It was swimming with the stuff even though I tried to soak some of it away with kitchen towel. I really think the amount of butter is very wrong. Hey ho, may try with much less butter and can honestly say this is the first disaster I have had while using a Good Food recipe."

"I got my cake tins from John Lewis, they seem to stock a good range of sizes but I have alson noticed that Hobbycraft sell a set of three cake tins in roughly the same sizes as quoted, all within a few cms any way... good luck Nicola Dry with the cakes,hope your big day goes well."

"This cake is an out and out winner, its rich, dark and keeps beautifully. I admit to making this cake at least 20 times since it was first published - friends at work and family just can't get enough. There is never any reason for not making this outstanding cake. I get requests for this cake at least once a month and being a kindly sole I always oblige!"

"Like many others I am not a fan of cheesecake,but this recipe appealed for some reason and it was the best, light but dense, sweet but sharp - it should'nt be delicious but it is, so nice!!!"
