"Tried this recipe today as we got fennel and cavalo nero in our veg box. I added smoked paprika instead of normal and some chilli, we did enjoy it, but I think if I make it again I won't add as many chick peas as I think they overpowered it a little."

"I liked this cake it is ridiculously easy. We had a glut of plums so used plums in the base of the tin, added half the mixture, layered the apple then the rest of the mixture - it took a good hour to cook through though. Would make again and next time I'd add cinnamon or mixed spice, it was lovely warm with ice cream."
