"I think this is a lovely recipe and one I'd like to make successfully. However yet again I find the instructions lacking. How long roughly should the caramel take before it should stay together in a glass of cold water? Again (as with the Rocky Road Recipe) how do we melt the chocolate, in a pan, or over a pan of water. I am begining to think I should test these recipes, it appears the testers are too familiar with these terms and how to cook these items, making them immune to the home cook, trying to expand their abilities."

"I followed this recipe but stumbled at the first hurdle, I melted the butter, syrup and Chocolate together over a saucepan of boiling water, as you usually would to melt chocolate (note the receipe doesnt specify how to melt). It didnt work, the chocolate went all dry and crumbled. I didnt know how to save it, so first lot of ingredients in the bin! Next time I tried it in a saucepan, but it was still looking to dry out, before melting properly, although at least this time, I managed to make my rocky road. It was disappointing though, as the recipe looked so easy.... Anyone know what I am doing wrong, or how to improve this?? Thanks Jo BTW it has great potential!!!"

"I'm not a massive cake maker, but am improving. I found the recipe straightforward, but found it annoying, that with so called testing, the tin size suggested in the recipe is too small. My cake and its junior counterpart are in the oven now. I hope they still taste good nonetheless."

"I used onions in my version, cooking them first before adding garlic, served with yummy sausages. A treat for the whole family."
