"These are absolutely amazing and they taste fab too! A genius recipe! We used red food colour paste for the nails. The kids' skinny and gnarly fingers worked best as they do spread quite a bit in the oven. When they were half cooked I took them out and remoulded them a bit and then put them back in the oven. I baked mine a bit longer than the recipe said. We're going to make three more batches now!"

"Simply THE best chocolate cake recipe EVER! I double it and use three 8" sandwich tins, smother it all in chocolate fudge icing and pour over bags of maltesers etc. It looks and tastes really impressive but it's so easy to make. Thanks for the recipe!"

"I make this cake at least once a week! It has to be one of the easiest recipes ever and just turns out gorgeous every time. I use organic wholemeal flour now and an extra carrot and extra cinnamon - perfect! "

"This is just gorgeous! A huge hit with everyone and lots of requests for the recipe! Very easy too. I added an extra banana too then I could pretend it was healthy! Didn't bother with the topping - it was perfect already! Nice gooey, rich texture. You MUST make this!"

"Me and my daughter made this on halloween after hollowing out her pumpkin. It was absolutely gorgeous - probably best cake I have ever made.Took about 45 mins to bake though, but so moist. It doesn't last long! "
