    "I used a pumpkin instead of squash and threw in some chilli flakes during the cooking time but the result was really bland. Any ideas to spruce it up without using the prawns? (I'm allergic)."

    "This cake is totally gorgeous however made the fatal mistake of feeding the cake a couple of times with ginger wine (this was NOT recommended by Good Food but my own inititative). When I cut the cake is was almost soggy inside. Luckily noone wanted any on Christmas day itself and after I left it exposed to the air for a day it sorted itself out! DO NOT feed this cake, it really doesnt need it. "

    Milk chocolate & pistachio truffles

    "Ive never made truffles before and I am disappointed with the results. The truffle mix was dry and crumbly (is it meant to be?) I had to heat it in my hands before patching together 20 truffles. I spent a fiver on chocolate. Hardly seems worth it."

    "Really dismayed to open the fridge door today to find the marmalade made just yesterday is threaded right the way through with solidified fat. Looks really unappealing. I'm in two minds whether to give this as Christmas presents as planned as I'm guessing that the fat will just coagulate again if I follow Barneys tip given above. Am trying a second batch using just butter and no oil. Hopefully this will work better but would not have tried this recipe if I'd known this was going to happen. Bit of a waste of food and my time. Not happy. "

    "I've dined at Le Relais de Venise and I do agree that their frites are close to perfect, crisp and perfectly seasoned. The best thing about them is that the restaurant provide two portions of chips as the steak is served in two halves! "
