"I used this recipe all last christmas and just made a first batch this year! Such a lovely tasting recipe! I don't add the egg, but do use half butter half margarine, after trial and errors. This makes the dough easier to roll and cut over pressing in the tin! Use the best mince you can or better still make your own! Yum!"

"I must have done something wrong as mine came out more like a sunken cracked chocolate brownie instead of a cake? I will stick with my usual simple and fail safe chocolate cake in future. Shame really as it looked like it should have been nice!"

"A very nice dish! Had it for valentine's day with roast beef. Husband loved it, however I had no greyer cheese so I used a good strong cheddar and had to whack up temperature at end as was not really browning up. Still tasted fab though! "

"Brilliant! I made this for Valentine's day pudding for my hubby, I put pink natural food dye in before cooking and made it a heart shape! I also added crushed rasperries in the double cream to make that pink too! Very kitch and very soppy / girly, but tasted great! Husband loved it!"

"A very nice cake, I added some left over Christmas Thorntons rum and raisin fudge chopped into little cubes! Result... scrummy!! We ate some warm and this was lovely, but a little stodgy. Not sure if that was because of the fudge though?!"
