"Oh dear, really disappointed with this. Was a bit dubious about the carrot when reading the ingredients list, but was swayed by all the positive comments. I wish I'd gone with my instinct and stayed away from this! We found the sauce quite bland, and bits of carrot in it just didn't seem right! Chips and mayo were nice though! Will stick with mariniere in future!"

"Have made this several times, it's a really lovely cake, I find that it doesn't need the yoghurt to serve. Also tried it with a lemon juice & sugar topping (as in lemon drizzle cake) to take out walking to prevent sticky situations with the icing! Also have changed blueberries for raspberries on one occasion, which was also good."

"Ooooh this was lovely. Had one problem as I overbeat the first batch of mascarpone icing in the kitchen aid and it curdled/separated so I had to start again. Will definately make again."
