"My son and I made these yesterday (not doing the hot choc custard and doubling up the recipe) and we added chocolate chips after reading the comments about being dry, this seemed to do the trick. Maybe next time we'll use either banana or a chunk of chocolate in the middle and serve them straight away, mmm. We used left over mix to make a daddy-sized birthday muffin, which we decorated with melted choc and sugar sprinkles - yum. I thought they didn't raise as much as I thought they would either and how do you know when they're cooked?! Being chocolate you can't tell if they're browned enough."

"I've used two spoons before to get an oval shape. Perhaps I'll try it with white choc and pretend their choc mice."
